John Quarenghi has many years of experience working as a trial attorney. Since 2017 he has been a prosecutor with the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office as a member of the Special Victims Unit, with significant success in cases involving child abuse, sexual crimes and DNA evidence.

Previously, Quarenghi spent almost two decades working for the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Clayton, Missouri where, as lead attorney, he tried more than 80 jury trials. Promoted to supervisor in 2013, this role saw Quarenghi supervise seven felony attorneys whilst continuing to work on his own cases.

Throughout his career, Quarenghi spent time working for the St. Clair County, Illinois, State’s Attorney’s Office and the law firm of Bernard and Davidson, which he joined immediately after graduating in 1990.

Quarenghi studied Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, before studying Law at the Southern Illinois University Law School. A passionate and professional trial attorney, Quarenghi is also passionate about sport, playing both tennis and ice hockey. At the University of Illinois Quarenghi was a member of the varsity tennis team, having played the sport competitively from a very young age. Quarenghi moved to France for a short period to play tennis, before returning to America to achieve his legal qualifications. Having played ice hockey for more than 30 years, Quarenghi continues to play and watch the sport and his favourite team – the St Louis Blues – won the 2019 Stanley Cup.

Other than law and sports, Quarenghi is an avid traveler, reader and photographer. Specializing in nature photography, Quarenghi enjoys photographing the natural world, documenting his travels and the amazing landscapes, mountains, volcanoes and oceans that he has explored.
