St. Louis Blues: Logan Brown’s Debut

The St. Louis Blues have suffered recently with James Neal on injured reserve and Klim Kostin on LTIR. As a result, the St. Louis Blues have brought back Dakota Joshua and taken on a new face in Logan Brown.

Who Is Logan Brown?

Logan Brown is the son of former defense player Jeff Brown, and had been playing for the Springfield Thunderbirds this season before making the move to the St. Louis Blues.

His professional career kicked off in 2016 when he signed a three-year contract with the Ottawa Senators. He made his National Hockey League debut against the Washington Capitals in early October 2017, and scored his first point just a couple of weeks later.

During his time with the Ottawa Senators, he spent most of the season with the team’s American Hockey League farm team, the Belleville Senators.

Moving to the St Louis Blues

His first game with the St. Louis Blues in his hometown saw him score a goal that was instrumental in the team’s shift from a 3-0 defeat to a 4-3 win. For Logan Brown, this game with the St. Louis Blues presented a fresh start and the chance to do something really special.

Logan Brown’s arrival will help tackle the issue the St. Louis Blues are facing with manpower whilst multiple players are unable to play. He is expected to play in the next three games whilst the injured players heal.

For fans such as John Quarenghi and Jeff Brown, watching Logan Brown’s debut game with the St. Louis Blues had a feeling of accomplishment about it, like he was playing his first NHL game again.

Springfield Thunderbirds

Before transferring to the St. Louis Blues, Logan Brown had been playing for the Springfield Thunderbirds and had achieved good results. Over the course of 19 games, Logan Brown achieved six goals and 11 assists. His 17 points score tied him for second place on the team.
